Karkanya is about half an hour's drive north of Canberra, just over the border from the ACT in NSW. The nearest town is Murrumbatemen (about 10km West of the us). The nearest highway is the Barton Highway, which joins Murrumbateman and Canberra.

Karkanya is 200 acres (81 hectares) in the middle of a cool climate wine growing region becoming well known for Shiraz.
